HEADLINES  | | | TICKET TO PLAY-PHYSICAL OFFERED MAY 28TH by
posted 05/16/2013 As we prepare for athletics for next year, the WFRHS's Sports Medicine Staff and our physicians at OSNC will again offer physical exams for our student athletes at Wake Forest-Rolesville High School on Tuesday, May 28th from 5 PM until 7 PM that evening. The costs is only $10 and either cash or checks made payable to WFR-HS will be accepted. All proceeds will be donated back to the athletic department to assist in paying for first aid and taping supplies.
In addition to the quality of the sports physical that they have received or will receive, there will be an added medical service that will be available that evening. Rex Hospital will provide echocardiography screening for athletes determined to be at risk for cardiovascular abnormalities.
Attached are the necessary permission forms that need to be completed by the parents prior to getting their exam. Please promote this event by telling all of your athletes to take advantage of this opportunity.
It is also very important to express to your athletes that if they are under the care of a physician for any injury or medical condition, ie. asthma, diabetes, prior cardiologist visits, etc., it is strongly recommended that they get a letter from that physician stating that they are cleared to participate in athletics for that condition or illness and bring a copy to the exam.

The WFRHS Spring Sports Banquet will be held on Tuesday, May 21 with Dinner at 6:15pm in the Cougar Caferteria and Sport Award Presentations at 7PM.
Spring Student Athletes are FREE and Guests are $8.00 per person! Guests may pay at the door and student athletes must be checked off at door.
Also, PLEASE NOTE THAT PARENT VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to help make the event a success!

posted 04/15/2013 The next meeting of the WFHS Athletic Booster Club will be Monday, June 10th at 7pm in the athletic building behind the Lindsey Gym. Discussion will be on the upcoming Town of WF 3rd of July celebration (fundraising event); ABC Golf Tournament (fundraising) and PigSkin Classic planned for August 10th!
Also, those persons interested in renewing their membership or enrolling in new membership may join for only $5.00.
ABC Membership Drive begins at the May meeting through the fiscal year from July 1 to June 30. Types of membership: General (Vote) (must have student at WFHS) and Member at Large (Non-Vote) (no student at WFHS).
